Flash Procedure
  1. Open the downloaded codeplug in your CPS software
  2. Verify Radio ID and name match your designator
  3. Connect radio — battery above 3 bars
  4. Write codeplug to radio
  5. Read-back verify contacts & channels
  6. Check the shield on an ENCRYPTED channel before you rely on it
    The master carries the key per channel. If the shield is dark: Menu → Setting → Channel Set → Digital Encrypt → select key
  7. Shield lit on the keyed channels, dark on EMERGENCY, APRS, EVENT and the BAT block
    Those are in the clear by design — see the COMMS tab for which is which
  8. TX test on ATLAS PRIMARY — confirm callsign
